Getting Started Checklist

Thank you for choosing Optimum Mobile. Getting started is easy. Simply follow the steps below:

 

check.jpg Step 1: Phone Set-Up

1. Turn on your phone and follow the Wizard directions
    - If you are bringing your own phone, your phone must be paid off and unlocked
2. Make sure your phone has the most current Operating System installed
3. Connect to Wi-Fi
4. Activate your new Optimum Mobile SIM Card at MyMobileand insert it in your phone (follow directions included with the SIM Card)
5. Accept Carrier Setting Update (required)
    -Any restore actions or factory defaults will require that you repeat this step again.
6. Wait for the device to register to Optimum LTE or 5G

 

check.jpg Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi Calling

Wi-Fi calling is included at no additional charge and it enables you to place and receive calls when in locations where the network has a weak signal or is not available. Having Wi-Fi calling enabled improves call quality and reduces dropped calls.

 iPhone instructions

  1. On your phone, go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling
  2. Tap or slide Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone to switch_on_icon.gif 
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

 Motorola instructions

  1. On your phone, tap Phone > Menu > Settings > Calls > Wi-Fi Calling then tap or slide Wi-Fi Calling  toon_icon.jpg
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions
  3. For Calling preference, select Wi-Fi Preferred
  4. For Roaming preference, select Wi-Fi Preferred

 Samsung instructions

  1. Tap Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling then tap or slide Wi-Fi Calling to slider1.png
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions
  3. For Roaming network preference, select Wi-Fi preferred
