When you are connected, a WiFi icon will appear in the top left or right corner of your screen, depending on your phone model.
If your device shows it is connected, but you cannot get online, try the following:
- Turn your WiFi off then on again.
- Make sure Airplane mode is off.
- Restart your phone.
After the restart, try again to connect.
If you still cannot get online, try connecting to the WiFi network with another device, like a laptop computer.
If the other device can get online, the problem is most likely with your phone.
If the other device cannot get online, the problem is most likely with the network. For your home WiFi network, make sure that your router is connected to your modem. Then unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds. After the restart, try again to get online.
