Your bill provides an overview of your charges for that billing period, including service, data plan, and device charges, as well as applicable taxes, fees, and other charges and credit. Your charges may vary based on your data plan, the devices you finance from Optimum Mobile, and your state.
There are two ways to view your bill – by the Category or by the Line. If you view it by Category, you will see types of charges grouped together (for example, plan or equipment ). If you view it by line you will see all of the charges for an individual line grouped together.
Below is an explanation of charges that may be included in your online bill:
By Category
Bill issue date: This is when your billing cycle starts.
Due date: This is when we will charge your amount owed. It will be 10 days after your billing cycle starts.
(1) Plan: Each mobile number will appear on a separate line. You’ll also see:
- Your data plan
- The full monthly plan charge or a partial month charge. A partial month charge occurs when you add a new line of service in the period between your bill being due and your next bill being generated.
- If you upgrade your plan, you will be charged the difference between the old and new plans at the time of your upgrade. You will see this reflected on your bill with the date you upgraded and like credit listed as Pre-Payment since you have already paid for it.
(2) Equipment: Each device that you finance will be listed under the Equipment section. You’ll see the monthly cost under the mobile number Please note that the equipment charges are for previous months while mobile service charges are for the coming month.
(3) Promotions & Discounts: In this section, you will see your Autopay, Internet + Mobile Savings, Loyalty, or any other qualified/enrolled discount and promotion in your account or lines.
(4) Additional charges & credits: Late fee, restocking fee, Missing Accessory fee, and Pre-payment credits for Data top-ups or Travel Passes will appear in this section.
Data Top-Ups and Travel Passes are charged at the time of purchase. You will see this reflected on your next bill with the date you purchased the Data Top Up. For your records, your next bill will include a charge for the Data Top Up or Travel Passes under Additional charges & credits and a credit for it under Previous Balance & Payments.
(5) Taxes & Government fees: Government Taxes & Fees are summarized for all lines of service for the billing statement. For a detailed breakdown of taxes and fees, you will need to download the PDF bill.

By Line
Each mobile line will appear on a separate line on your bill, under the mobile number for that line. You’ll also see listed for that line:
- Your data plan
- Equipment: Each device that you finance will be listed under the Equipment section. You’ll see the monthly cost under the mobile number. Please note that the equipment charges are for previous months while mobile service charges are for the coming month.
- Usage: Since your Optimum Mobile plan includes unlimited calls and texts you won’t see charges on this section.
Additional charges & credits: Late fee, restocking fee, Missing Accessory fee, and Pre-payment credits for Data top-ups or Travel Passes will appear in this section.
Taxes & Government fees: Government Taxes & Fees are summarized for all lines of service for the billing statement. For a detailed breakdown of taxes and fees, you will need to download the PDF bill.
