How do I unlock my device for use with Optimum Mobile?

If you want to bring your own device from another carrier to Optimum Mobile, it must be unlocked. To unlock a device, you must contact your current carrier.

Each carrier handles this process a bit differently. To help you get your device unlocked, we've listed out the major carriers below along with what we know about their unlock policies. 

Generally, before a carrier will complete your unlock request, the device must not be reported as lost or stolen and must be paid off in full with the associated account in good standing.

T-Mobile

Unlocking policy
Unlocking criteria:
- Postpaid: service active for 40 days + device paid in full
- Prepaid: service active for 14 days + $100 in refills OR 365 days has passed since activation regardless of whether the service is still active
