How do I set up Visual Voicemail on my iPhone?

The first time you use voicemail, you'll be asked to set up a password and greeting.
1. From the Home screen, tap the Phone app
2. Tap Voicemail
3. Tap Set up now
4. Create your voicemail password, then tap Done
5. Enter your voicemail password again to confirm it, then tap Done
6. Select a Default or Custom greeting
      • Default: Standard greeting using your mobile number
      • Custom: Custom recorded greeting
           • Tap Record to record a new greeting
           • Tap Play to play the current greeting
7. Tap Save

How do I access my voicemail?

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone
2. Tap Voicemail
3. Tap the desired message, then choose from the following options:
    • Play message
    • Share message
    • Delete message
         • This will also delete the message from the Optimum Mobile voicemail server
         • Deleted are moved to the Deleted Messages folder at the bottom of the voicemail list
         • To undelete, tap Deleted Messages, choose the desired voicemail, then tap Undelete

 

How do I change my voicemail password?

1. From the Home screen, tap Settings
2. Tap Phone
3. Tap Change Voicemail Password
4. Enter your new voicemail password

 

How do I update my voicemail greeting?

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone
2. Tap Voicemail
3. Tap Greeting
4. Choose your greeting type:
   • Default: Standard greeting using your mobile number.
   • Custom: Custom recorded greeting. Tap Play to play the current or Record to record a new one.


How do I update my voicemail alerts and notifications?

1. From the Home screen, tap Settings
2. Tap Sounds & Haptics
3. Tap New Voicemail
4. Select the desired notification sound for new voicemails


Troubleshooting

If experiencing voicemail issues, try the below and check Visual Voicemail after each step to confirm if the issue has been resolved.
1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update
2. Check for a carrier settings update: Go to Settings > General > About. If a carrier settings update is available, a message will ask you to update.
3. Check if you are connected to Optimum Mobile by trying to call someone.
4. Make sure voicemail is set up. To check, dial your own mobile number from your iPhone and leave yourself a message.
5. Verify you have the correct voicemail password. The default password is the last 4-digits of your mobile number.
6. Call your iPhone from another device and try to leave yourself a voicemail.
7. Go to the keypad and press and hold the 1 button for 5 seconds. This dials your voicemail. Check if you have any missed messages
8. Reset your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
