What can I expect when I contact 911?

When you dial 911 from your mobile device, your call will route to the designated Public Safety Answering Point (or PSAP). When your call is answered by the 911 dispatcher, always be prepared to provide your location and 10-digit mobile number to the 911 operator when calling 911 from your mobile device. Although some local emergency authorities have enabled Enhanced 911 (E-911) services that use GPS or other methods to determine callers’ locations, E-911 doesn't always provide accurate location information.

Note: For more information, please refer to the 911 and Emergency Alerts section of the Customer Service Agreement.
