Buy a Weekly Travel Pass in MyMobile to use your phone outside the U.S. Choose data only ($35) or talk, text and data ($70). Your pass starts and is billed as soon as you buy it.
Before you start
- Data only – $35: 5 GB of premium data.
- Talk, text and data – $70: 5 GB of premium data, plus call minutes and texts. You get 300 minutes and 300 texts, or 60 minutes and 60 texts, depending on where you're going.
- Travel passes aren't available in every country. Check your destination on the Optimum Mobile international page.
- Have Unlimited Max? It already includes calls, texts, and 5 GB of roaming data in Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
- Have our newest Unlimited plan? It includes 300 minutes and 300 texts a month to Mexico from the U.S. It doesn't include roaming in Mexico, so you still need a pass when you travel there.
Buy your pass
1. Sign in to MyMobile.
2. Tap My lines, then choose the line that's traveling.
3. Tap My add-ons, then Manage travel passes in the Travel passes section.
4. Choose data only, or talk, text and data. Check the minutes and texts for your destination.
5. Tap Continue, then confirm your pass.
If something goes wrong
- No data abroad? Turn on data roaming in your phone's settings. Menus vary by phone. Step-by-step for your phone.
- • iPhone: Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options. Turn on Data Roaming. (Apple Support)
- • Google Pixel and many Android phones: Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Choose your SIM and turn on Roaming. (Pixel Help)
- • Samsung Galaxy: Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks. Turn on Data roaming. (Samsung Support)
