Transfer your Verizon number to Optimum Mobile

To move your Verizon number, get a Number Transfer PIN from Verizon. You can get it from your phone, My Verizon online, or the My Verizon app. The PIN is valid for 7 days.

Before you start

  • Turn off any number lock on your old account. Carriers call it different things, like Number Lock, Port Out Blocker, SIM Protect, or Port Lock. A lock that is still on is a common reason a transfer fails.
  • The Number Transfer PIN isn't the same as your 4- or 6-digit Verizon account PIN.
  • Only the Account Owner or Account Manager can request the PIN.

From your Verizon phone

1. Dial #PORT.

2. After you verify, Verizon texts you.

3. You'll get your Number Transfer PIN and your account number.

On My Verizon online

1. Sign in to My Verizon.

2. Under Security, select Number Transfer PIN.

3. Select Generate PIN.

In the My Verizon app

1. Sign in and go to Account Settings, then Security.

2. Select Number Transfer PIN, then tap Generate PIN.
