What you need to transfer your number
You need your number, your old carrier's account number, and a transfer PIN from your old carrier. You also need another phone number where we can reach you.
Your checklist
- Your current mobile number. This is the number you're moving to Optimum Mobile.
- Your account number at your old carrier. Find it on your bill or in your online account. If you're transferring in an Optimum store, bring your latest bill.
- Your transfer PIN. It's also called a Number Transfer PIN or port-out PIN. Your old carrier creates it for you, usually in their app or on their website. It's not a PIN or password you chose for your account. Get it shortly before you start, because it expires.
- A contact number where we can reach you during the transfer. Use a different number from the one you're moving.
If something goes wrong
- Can't find your account number or PIN? Look up your carrier in Switching from a prepaid carrier: find your account number and transfer PIN. We have steps for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and many prepaid carriers.
- Still stuck? Contact your old carrier. If the details you gave us are wrong, an Optimum Mobile expert will contact you.
