Switching from a prepaid carrier: find your account number and transfer PIN
To transfer your number from a prepaid carrier, you need your account number and transfer PIN from that carrier. Find your carrier below. Get your PIN shortly before you start, because PINs expire.
Before you start
- Turn off any number lock on your old account. Carriers call it different things, like Number Lock, Port Out Blocker, SIM Protect, or Port Lock. A lock that is still on is a common reason a transfer fails.
- Don't cancel your old service. Your old line closes when the transfer is done. See Should I cancel my old service before I transfer my number?
- Switching from AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon? See Transfer your AT&T number, Transfer your T-Mobile number or Transfer your Verizon number. For other carriers, see Transfer your number to Optimum Mobile.
- Have your PIN? Go to Transfer your number to Optimum Mobile.
